MRI #5...The real meaning of Thanksgiving!

We are happy to share with you that the results of Kyle's MRI show his tumor remains stable. In fact, if you multiply the measurements, it is actually a bit smaller by volume then his MRI in October! The changes in the tumor are a strange thing. The don't really indicate anything. But, the best news is Kyle remains symptom free and feels great.

Thank you to everyone for the extra prayers and positive thoughts. This news is a remarkable way to begin the Christmas season. I can't tell you how much joy it brings me to hear Kyle say, "I have some great news! My brain bump shrunk!"

I wanted to take a minute this week of Thanksgiving to share the reasons I am thankful.

I am thankful for finally seeing each day as the gift that it is. I am thankful for slowing down to enjoy this moment and not always trying to plan for the next. I am thankful for standing in the rain and wind watching my boys play soccer. I am thankful for packing lunches, parent-teacher conferences, and waiting for the school bus. I am thankful for the time to read bedtime stories, play card games, and cuddle on the sofa. I am thankful for the prayers of friends I know and friends I haven't met yet. I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for every kiss and hug from Nicolas and Kyle. I am thankful for realizing what is important and trying to set the rest aside.

I know it might sound crazy to say that I feel like I have so much to be thankful for this year, but it is true. I hope that you are all able take a moment to count all the reasons you are thankful too. I also wanted to ask if you could please take a moment Friday to send good thoughts to Kyle. It is already time for MRI #5 since he finished radiation and it is your prayers and good thoughts that make our trips to Children's a little easier.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Christin

I am thankful for Kyle's amazing spirit that kept him charging in the terrain park even in the midst of radiation. I am thankful for Jeeps that breakdown in the desert but other still operable ones not too far away! I am thankful for the summertime days at the pool watching silly dives and improving backstrokes. I am thankful for #10giving some sad husky fans a few fun days this year and hope for seasons yet to come. I am thankful for the snow falling in the mountains again this year. I am thankful you were there for me today. We have much to be thankful for indeed!

Love,

Kim

Your post is sooo true, so many times we take for granted things in life that are blessing. I am glad you are thankful for the small, medium, and large things because they all make up LIFE. I will pray for stable results.
God Bless you this Thanksgiving!
