MRI #4 : Kyle remains strong and on top of his battle.

After a nutritious and delicious grape Jello breakfast, we made our now routine journey to Seattle for Kyle’s fourth MRI since completing radiation. As usual, it was an emotionally taut day but Kyle's infectious good spirits persevere and delight everyone he encounters. Although the MRI came back showing the tumor has changed, after review by the tumor board at Children’s Hospital his doctors believe he remains stable as he continues to be symptom free. Kyle's eagerness and ability to perform any physical test always impresses his doctors and nurses. And that eagerness extends into today, as Kyle gets ready for the Fun Run at Happy Valley Elementary. Not even sideways-rain can dampen his resolve to run more laps than any other first grader! Keep up the prayers and positive energy you are sending to Kylie! Your prayers, along with God’s grace, reinforce our belief that Kyle is winning this battle. And when he does it is a miracle we will all share.

Hi Kyle-
Do you know how much I love seeing your smiling face in the cafeteria each day? It makes me so happy to see all of my friends from last year having such a great time in 1st grade!
Did you have a good time at the Fun Run? I bet you ran a lot of laps. I am so proud of the way that you do everything with so much enthusiasm and you never give up. I feel very lucky to know such a strong and brave kiddo! I am glad that you are my friend!

See you soon!

Love,
Mrs. DeJong

Kylie,

It was so much fun, even in the blustery wind and rain, to watch you and Sage run your laps at the Fun Run! And in true Kyle fashion, you somehow managed to run 21 laps eventhough 1st graders were supposed to be limited to 20 laps. I think that speaks VOLUMES of your spirit and determination.

We love you!

Tracy, Brady, Sage & Skye

Hi Kyle,
I haven't had a chance to tell you at school how excited I was when I found out you were going to be in my class!
I feel so lucky you are in room 6 and I think all the other kids are lucky too, because you are such a great friend to everybody. Your positive attitude and enthusiasm about everything you do is awesome!

Kyle,
It was so good to see you the other day when you popped in to say, "Hi." I don't see you or Nicholas nearly as often as I would like, but whenever I do, you both always leave me with a smile on my face.
I'm soooo glad you're across the hall this year. When I watched your class walking out to the Fun Run, chanting every step of the way, I had a feeling the rain wasn't about to slow any of you down.
How is it that you always seem to bring a little sunshine into everybody's day?

Love,
Mrs. Clark

Hi Kyle,
My name is Erica. I regret that you and I have not met but I went to highschool with your mom and sometimes she and I work together. I think your mom is incredibly brave and strong and smart. It sounds like people who know you say the same about you! I am so glad you have such great gifts to share with eachother.
My best to you Kyle,
Erica
